To attract customers to its fold, the Bharti Airtel has now taken another step to make its tariff plans much more attractive, in order to beat its competitors. The telecom players like Reliance Jio and Vodafone were having much more competitive plans right now.
Bharti Airtel has come up with an innovative plan for its prepaid users. This Rs 149 prepaid plan now offers 2 TEchnGB data per day for some users across different circles, that is up from 1 GB data benefit, according to a report.
The company offers unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. The plan thus offers per GB data at Rs 2.66. As compared, Reliance Jio too offers a Rs 149 prepaid plan. The plus point of airtel service is that voice calls in the Airtel plans are unlimited whereas, in Idea Cellular and Vodafone India, these call plans are limited.
Airtel is planning to offer few more plans for the other users shortly. Airtel’s plan of 1GB data per day, free calls and 100 SMS per day is offered to most of the subscribers.
It is expected that this plan of Airtel will give tough competition to Jio’s Rs 149 prepaid plan. It offers 1.5 GB data per day. Besides that, the plan also offers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days. Bharti’s proposed plan offers 56 GB data as compare to Jio’s plan gives 42 GB data in a month. Airtel provides all the customers with 2G, 3G and 4G data, but Jio can offer only 4G data.
Idea Cellular also offers Rs 149 plan with 1GB data per day. But there is a rider with all these companies. Even Airtel changes its schemes almost every day, or it works only on a specific number. If your number gets Rs 149 benefit this particular day, your friend’s number will get the same offer in Rs 199 or so. Means, the schemes keep changing. But the Idea offers long-time recharge of even 14 months and that too on a concessional basis. Sometimes this recharge is eligible at the rate of Rs 1990, in all.
So, let us watch minutely. Just check the riders before changing the plans or the service providers.
