Best Road Route from Delhi to Nainital 

There can be 4 possible Road routes when you visit Nainital from Delhi. The first 3 routes are suggested by Google Maps and the 4th Road route is my suggestion based on personal experience.

Route 1

Road Route : Delhi – Ghaziabad – Hapur – Garhmukteshwar – Moradabad – Rampur – Kaladhungi – Nainital

Distance : 297 km

Time Taken : 6 hr 29 min

Route 2

Road Route : Delhi – Noida – Greater Noida – Bulandshahar – Sambhal – Moradabad – Rampur – Kaladhungi – Nainital

Distance : 331 km

Time Taken : 7 hr 11 min

Route 3

Road Route : Delhi – Ghaziabad – Meerut – Mawana – Bijnore – Dhampur – Kashipur – Ramnagar – Kaladhungi – Nainital

Distance : 339 km

Time Taken : 7 hr 41 min

Best Road Route from Delhi to Nainital 

This road route from Delhi to Nainital is by far the best of all. Though Google maps does not even show this when you search for this Road Route. I have been to Nainital for about a number of times and based on my experience I will recommend you to follow this Route.

Route 4

Road Route : Delhi – Ghaziabad – Hapur – Garhmukteshwar – Moradabad – Rampur – Bilaspur – Rudrapur – Pantnagar – Haldwani – Kathgodam – Nainital

Distance : 310 km

Time Taken : 7 hr 15 min

Google Maps is a good way to reach somewhere when you do not know about the place. However, I personally feel that Google Maps does not always suggest the perfect road route for you. So, you could do a good research before you visit any place. Not only on the internet but also enquire personally from people around you.

I think Nainital is the easiest and nearest Hill Station to Reach by Train from Delhi. Kathgodam is the nearest railway station from Nainital. You can hire your personal taxi or can get sharing taxi from Kathgodam to Nainital. Indica or Alto Taxis may charge you around Rs.600 if you book the whole taxi and Rs.150 per person on sharing basis.
