Route 1 : Delhi – Ghaziabad – Hapur – Meerut – Muzaffarnagar – Roorkee – Haridwar – Rishikesh

This route would be best suited for people who stay on or near Hapur Road in Ghaziabad. This route is also the longest route of all. So, think about it when you choose this route to reach Rishikesh.

Distance from Rishikesh : 263 km

Route 2 : Delhi – Sonipat – Bagpath – Meerut – Muzaffarnagar – Roorkee – Haridwar – Rishikesh

This route is best suited for people who stay in and around the areas of Alipur, Pitampura, Kundli, Rohini etc. Though it passes through the small towns like Bagpath but it saves a lot time by not entering the other parts of Delhi. Road may not be in a good condition near Bagpath.

Distance from Rishikesh :259 km

Route 3 : Delhi – Sonipat – Panipat – Shamli – Muzaffarnagar – Roorkee – Haridwar – Rishikesh

This route is best suited to the people staying in and around the areas of Alipur, Pitampura, Kundli, Rohini etc. People who stay in the areas mentioned before and do not want to follow the Bagpath Route(Route 2) can follow this Route. This route may be in a bit better condition than Route 2.

Best Road Route from Delhi to Rishikesh

Route 4 : Delhi – Ghaziabad – Modinagar – Meerut – Muzaffarnagar – Roorkee – Haridwar – Rishikesh

This is undoubtedly the quickest and the best road route from Delhi to Rishikesh. People may suggest you a number of Routes to reach the same place. But I tell you that there is no better way to reach Rishikesh than this one. If you start your journey early morning, at about 5-5:30 a.m. you would not find any traffic in Delhi and you can easily cover this distance quickly. This means by Route 4, you can reach Rishikesh within 6 hours if the traffic is normal.

Distance from Rishikesh : 241 km

Important Note : You might face traffic jams in and before entering Rishikesh. So it is advisable to start your journey as early as possible. So, whether you are going to Rishikesh or coming back, you must start early in the morning.

Traffic Free Route While Returning from Shivpuri towards Delhi (Via Bypass)

If you are Camping in Shivpuri or Nearby area and want to leave for Delhi right from there, you can return from Shivpuri without entering Rishikesh City Via a Neat and Clean Bypass Road without Traffic.

While returning from Shivpuri, you will find 2 ways : The way on the left will take you to Rishikesh City. If you take the Right Route, you will be on the ByPass Road which will take you out of Rishikesh without being in the risk of getting stuck in a Traffic Jam inside rishikesh.
