Goa is the state where I went to celebrate 2008 New Year with friends. After visiting a lot of places in India, I think if you could get a good hotel to stay then half of your trip is already made up. We landed up in Goa on 29th of August and after finishing our first 3 days of stay at Estrela Do Mar Beach Resort, Calangute, I and my wife planned to stay near the Airport for the last day as we had a flight to catch on 2nd of September. Now that we planned our stay near the Goa Airport, we needed to get one of the best hotels in South Goa near Airport. After doing a lot of research on Goibibo, I decided to book our stay at Bogmallo Beach Resort, Goa from 1st of September’2016 to 2nd of September’2016.
Bogmallo Beach Resort, Goa – An Honest Review
First thing while booking a Hotel is to check its location. I did the same and read a lot of positive reviews from a lot of customers on popular websites.
Location
This hotel is located at quite a nice place very close to the Airport. It just takes 10 minutes drive from the Hotel to reach the Airport.
The hotel is located in at 4.7 km from Goa Airport. This hotel lies at a perfect and peaceful location with a beautiful beach along with it. So before booking, you don’t really have to think twice about the location of Bogmallo Beach Resort.
Parking Facility
I like to travel places by my own car or I hire a self drive car there itself, so I always look for Parking Facility. Usually good hotels provide parking facility and this one has huge parking facility for parking at least 40-50 cars.
The hotel also has a taxi stand near it. So, if you are looking to hire a taxi or a self drive car you could get it all there.
First Look
If you like a Hotel on its first look, there are high chances that your would love staying there and so did we.
As we roamed around the premises, the hotel looked even more really beautiful, especially the beach facing rooms.
The Rooms
This hotel has variety of rooms according to your Budget like Chalets, Hilltop Chalets, Sea Facing Corner Suite, Sea Facing Deluxe Room, Sea Facing Superior Room and Garden Facing Villa Rooms.
From 1st – 2nd September, We booked a Chalet (Breakfast & Dinner Inclusive) and got a room on the 6th floor.
Rooms looked amazing on the very first look, especially the view from the balcony. So, I would suggest you to prefer the rooms which are beach facing.
The Staff
From our entry to the Hotel till we left, the staff of the Hotel was very courteous especially the Duty Manager. They helped us put our luggage into the rooms. We were served on arrival welcome drinks, the tea preparation vessel and material.
The Food
If you get the right type of food at a Hotel you will definitely enjoy your stay. Bogmallo Beach Resort serves mouth watering buffet breakfast and dinner. If you are staying at Bogmallo Beach Resort, you must book the rooms along with breakfast and dinner. Otherwise the food is too costly. I remember the price of a sandwich is Rs.300!!
Bogmallo Beach Resort has buffet system for Breakfast and Dinner, which is value for money. The variety of dishes served will confuse you which one to eat and which one you should not.
Not only it serves vegetarian food, Bogmallo Beach Resort also provides you with Non-Vegetarian and Sweet dishes to choose from.
Negatives
Every hotel has some positives and a few negatives as well and so did Bogmallo Beach Resort. Some of the things which I didnt like about this Resort are :
1) No Free Wifi !! Yes the Wifi is chargeable at this hotel @ Rs.100 per hour. After having stayed at a lot of good hotels in India, I thought free Wifi comes by default. But not at Bogmallo!
2) Food is very Expensive! Rs.300 for an Omlette is not cheap.
3) This one is a bit funny. There are no toilet taps in the bathroom. So if you are going to stay here, practice using toilet tissues instead.
