Himachal Pradesh is the state where I would love to come over and again. Having visiting a lot of places in India, I think if you get a good hotel to stay then half of your trip is already made up. After covering Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala & Mcleodganj in Himachal Pradesh, I and my wife planned for a trip to Dalhousie & Khajjiar for celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. Now that we planned our trip to Dalhousie, we needed to get one of the best hotels in Dalhousie. After doing a lot of research on Goibibo, I decided to book our stay at Mongas Hotel & Resort, Dalhousie from 2nd of May’2016 to 4th of May’2016.
Mongas Hotel & Resort, Dalhousie – An Honest Review
First thing while booking a Hotel is to check its location. I did the same and read a lot of positive reviews from a lot of customers on popular websites.
Location
This hotel is located at quite a nice place nearby popular Gandhi Chowk and Mall Road of Dalhousie. It takes just 2 mins to reach the Hotel from Gandhi Chowk.
The hotel is located on Khajjiar Road. As Khajjiar is the most visited tourist attraction near Dalhousie, the location of the hotel is perfect. So before booking, you don’t really have to think twice about the location of Hotel Mongas.
Parking Facility
I like to travel places by my own car, so I always look for Parking Facility. Usually the hotels on Hill Stations either do not have parking facility or they ask you to park anywhere on the nearby hill.
I wanted to be sure that the Hotel has a good parking and thats why I booked my stay with Mongas. Even in such steep and valley the hotel has ample parking space which can accommodate at least 6-7 cars.
First Look
If you like a Hotel on its first look, there are high chances that your would love staying there. Same happened with us, the hotel looked beautiful when we first saw it and even more beautiful when we moved further.
The Rooms
This hotel has variety of rooms according to your Budget like Deluxe Rooms, Executive Rooms, Superior Rooms and more.
We booked a Deluxe Room (Breakfast and Dinner Inclusive) on the ground floor.
Rooms looked amazing on the very first look, even better than Holiday Home Hotel in Shimla (Which was our best Stay before Mongas).
The Staff
From our entry to the Hotel till we left, the staff of the Hotel was very courteous. They helped us put our luggage into the rooms. They also provided with the Wifi Username and Passwords for 2 Mobiles and a Laptop. We were served on arrival welcome drinks and tea preparation vessel and material. I would specially like to mention that the Restaurant Staff was the best of all.
The Food
If you get the right type of food at a Hotel you will definitely enjoy your stay and so did we. Hotel Mongas serves mouth watering and extremely delicious food. If you are staying at Mongas and you did not eat here, you are definitely missing something!
Mongas has buffet system for Breakfast and Dinner, which is value for money. The variety of dishes served will confuse you which one to eat and which one you should not. Not only it serves vegetarian food, Mongas also provides you with Non-Vegetarian dishes to choose from.
