Self-styled spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj commits suicide in Indore

Bhaiyyuji Maharaj, a self-styled spiritual leader recently committed suicide at his Silver Springs based residence located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He shot himself at the temple of his head by using his gun that was a licensed one brought for self-protection purpose. Soon after, he was rushed along to the Bombay hospital located at Indore where the doctors declared him dead. As per the sources close to him, Bhaiyyuji was under extreme depression for quite some time that led to this unfortunate incident.

A suicide note written by the spiritual leader along with the pistol was recovered by the police from the residence. As per Makrand Deoskar, Inspector General of Police, each minute aspect of this case is under investigation. The family members are being questioned to arrive at a proper judgment for the abrupt suicide.

The suicide note contained the following statement,

“Somebody should be there to handle duties of family. I am leaving too much stressed out, fed up.”

In an effort to provide his condolences on the demise of Bhaiyyuji Maharaj, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh tweeted his feelings on the matter. He tweeted that the country lost a knowledgeable man apt in the culture and service of humanity and his words shall always motive humanity to proceed in the direction of selfless service.

Bhaiyyuji Maharaj had recently faced the unfortunate demise of Medhavi, his wife on November 2015 after which he got married to Dr. Ayushi Sharma from Shivpuri last year on the month of April. Following the death of his wife, there has been a rift between him and his own daughter that was born from Medhavi.

Bhaiyyuji was born in the year 1968 at Shujalpur with the birth name Udai Deshmukh. He belonged to a family of landlord. Before he started preaching and practicing spirituality, he was a model. He had a normal life after marriage while promoting spirituality. From the past 1.5 years, he started to refrain from joining public functions. He diverted his attention towards building the nation while uplifting the farmers. He ran numerous projects for the farmers in Maharashtra.

His name was recently added to the committee for Narmada conservation. He was also offered the status of the state minister but he turned it down. On the month of May in 2016, Bhaiyyuji Maharaj evidently escaped an attack at his car close to Ranjangoan Road while he was going back to his place in Indore. He was coming back after meeting his daughter when someone attacked his car by pelting stones. Bhaiyyuji came into limelight following the inception of a solution that helped in ending the hunger strike led by Anna Hazare for the Lokpal Bill.

His sudden demise has severely shocked his followers. A huge crowd gathered near the hospital to get updates about his condition. Police were urgently deployed to control the situation before it flared up.
