Gulmarg is the skiing destination in Kashmir. Tucked in the Himalayas, the Gondola cable car ride in Gulmarg amidst the mountains is one of the major tourist attractions of Kashmir. Gulmarg’s Gondola rides are the highest of their kind in the whole of Asia. Apharwat Slopes are the highest and longest ski destinations in Asia, situated at 13000 feet above. The Gulmarg Hill Resort in the PirPanjals region is yet another brilliant skiing area of Gulmarg. While in the snow-covered mountains of the Himalayas, looking over beautiful landscapes, skiing is an experience of sorts when in Gulmarg. PirPanjal has a set of destinations in its lap: Tangmarg for handicrafts and Baba Reshi Shrine, which displays the Mughal and Persian architecture and history.

Nubra Valley is also known as the Orchard of Ladakh as the valley is blanketed with flowers in spring. In the winters, the same valley is said to look like the moon and, hence, also called as Moonland. Nubia Valley is a famous trekking destination as well. One can reach Kashmir by flight, train or road.
