Oppo Realme 1.4 GB RAM, 64GB variant goes on sale

The new craze amongst the smartphones, Oppo has launched a new variant Realme 1, which is designed to counter the popularity of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1.

Oppo Realme 1 is equipped with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and will be available only via Amazon India, as announced by the company. The new variant is presented in three colours– Diamond Black, Solar Red, and Moonlight Silver, which will be a limited edition.

RealMe is Oppo’s online-only brand, which was launched along with the Realme 1. The handset by Oppo is made available as an Amazon-exclusive product and are marked as a ‘Made in India’ product.

The main attraction of it, besides the brand and configuration, is its price. The new Oppo Realme 1 variant comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and is priced at Rs. 10,990. The new variant will be available alongside the two earlier launched variants that have 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage and 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage capacity.

Besides the better RAM and storage, there is nothing new in the new Realme 1 variant. The nano dual-SIM smartphone runs ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It has a 6-inch full-HD plus 1080 x 2160 pixels display. If we talk about the processor– it is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, with 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM options. It has as a dual-core AI-specific chip.

The new version of the smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with an LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel front camera sensor too. The camera is offered with Oppo’s AI Beauty 2.0 feature. Moreover, there is a Face Unlock feature to unlock the screen in just 0.1 seconds.

The Realme 1 storage options are expandable via microSD card. The smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, FM radio, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The smartphone is equipped with a 3410 mAh battery. It works with an AI battery management technology and measures 156 x 75.3 x 7.8mm. The handset is also provided with an AI Board assistant.
