What are the contributions of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar towards India?

Dr B. R. Ambedkar (Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar) was prominently known as Babasaheb. He was born in Mahar family which was considered untouchable at that moment in India. Even belonging from a lower caste, he successfully paved his path as one of the most beloved politicians in India. With a lot of hard work and dedication to change the nation, he turned himself into an extraordinary instructor, speaker, savant, pioneer and earned numerous more laurels of this kind. Likewise, he was the first person from his caste to get a college education in India, as untouchables were not permitted to get the education, visit temples and not even permitted to drink water from the source that was utilized by the higher caste.

During his schooling, dr br ambedkar faced a lot of opposition due to casteism. This oppression later became the foundation of his strong will to fight for the rights of people belonging from lower caste. Even after facing a lot of hatred, he went to London School of Economics for higher education and became a remarkable legal advisor. He is a great example of an independent man who worked so hard against all the chances to accomplish his objective.

In his last years, he embraced Buddhism for intelligence, ethical quality and to protect humanity. Likewise, he found that Mahar community was really Buddhist who declined to surrender Buddhism in one instance. As per the result of this, they were compelled to live outside the town and with time they turned into a distant rank. BR Ambedkar also composed a book named to highlight this, which goes by the title of  ‘The Buddha and His Dhamma’.

As BR Ambedkar belonged to the untouchable caste, he felt the pain and troubles faced by people belonging from such caste. He was instrumental in firing incredible activities to terminate such social issues in India. Bahishkrit Hitakarini Sabha was one of his major contributions to give rise to the untouchables among common people. He guided them toward the path of a better life and educates them to achieve an equivalent social status.  After years of effort under his administration, he was finally able to develop a platform to provide equal rights to people from lower caste in the society and government jobs.

He was chosen as the Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee. His job was to compose new Constitution for India. He made the arrangement of reservation for lower caste people to sustain equality among all religions and castes.

The formation of Reserve Bank of India in 1934 is also the result of BR Ambedker vision and efforts. He was also termed as the father of economics by Amartya Sen, a Nobel Prize winner.
