This route from Delhi to Shimla is preferred mostly by people taking diversion at Chandigarh towards Hoshiarpur. It is a preferred route for people wanting to take a hault in the areas of Hoshiarpur, Jubbarhatti and nearby areas.

(3) Delhi – Sonipat – Panipat – Karnal – Patiala – Chandigarh – Solan – Shimla

It is the least preferred route from Delhi to Shimla due to its length. It is the longest route of all. For people who want to take a diversion from Karnal towards Patiala can prefer this Route.

(4) Delhi – Sonipat – Panipat – Karnal – Ambala – Chandigarh – Solan – Shimla

This is the most preferred and the shortest Route from Delhi to Shimla. Most of the tourists visiting Shimla from Delhi follow this route.

Distance :   359 kms

These are the four routes which are mostly preferred by the tourists visiting Shimla from Delhi. Route Number 4 is the most preferred and shortest route of all, which you would also like to follow.
