Amitabh Bachchan admits that he finds prosthetic make-up a 'torture

Amitabh Bachchan, the superstar of Bollywood is feeling the pain of the process and idea of prosthetic makeup, now considered a necessity in the entertainment industry.

Airing his views, he said earlier film-making was a simple process. Never before has there been the kind of acceptance of the variety of films which are being presented to the masses presently. “The makings and the idea of storytelling are so impressive these days that never before has there been an acceptance of the variety of films being made today. They are small and large budgeted, fantasy and real and they all have a value at the box-office,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog.

The octogenarian cine star said the time for the Hindi film industry has taken it to a mature level. According to him, the audience has developed a good taste for the movies and if the movie is not up to their expectations they can blatantly express it in no uncertain terms. Nowadays, competition is strong, makings are cumbersome and the creative ideas are among the very best. We are living in a wonderful and a strong time and we shall continue to survive and fight, he added.

The megastar is recently shooting for ‘Brahmastra’- an Ayan Mukerji’s movie with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He is also busy with filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh’s starrer. This new movie will be shot in Scotland. The preparations for the movies are getting done. To begin with, the shooting for large and expansive Brahmastra will be commenced. Afterwards, it will be Sujoy Ghosh’s script in Scotland and then again Ayan Mukerji’s in Bulgaria, Amitabh informed to his well-wishers.

The ‘102 Not Out’ fame star says that he would be sporting prosthetic make-up, which he terms as a torture for the look. He says that tomorrow is a torture, because of prosthetic makeup for two films’ looks and trials. That unruly beard and to keep the extra beard that headlocks and the lot is nothing short of a torture. We think we I have a lifetime of it but no, there is always more to come, he exclaimed.
