Route 1 : Delhi – Noida – Greater Noida to Mathura Via Yamuna Expressway – Take Exit from Mathura towards NH-2

Although anyone can take this route but this route is best suited for people who stay in and around the areas of Ghaziabad, Noida & Greater Noida. Also, people who want to enter Agra via NH-2 can take this route. If you follow this route, you need to first reach Greater Noida from Delhi. And then get onto Yamuna Expressway till Mathura. Take Exit from Mathura towards NH-2. Continue on NH-2 to reach Agra.

Distance from Agra : 216 km

Route 2 : Delhi – Faridabad – Palwal – Pipli – After Tappal Continue onto Yamuna Expressway till Agra

Although anyone can take this route but this route is best suited for people who stay in and around the areas of Ashram, New Friends Colony, Sarita Vihar, Jasola, Mohan Estate, Tughlaqabad, Badarpur etc. Also, people who want to get onto Yamuna Expressway from Palwal can take this route. If you follow this route, you need to follow first reach Palwal Via Faridabad from Delhi. And then Turn towards Palwal – Aligarh Road from Palwal and turn onto Yamuna Expressway after Tappal. Continue onto Yamuna Expressway to reach Agra.

Distance from Agra : 217 km

Route 3 : Delhi – Faridabad – Palwal – Hodal – Kosi Kalan – Mathura – Agra (NH-2)

This is the National Nighway-2 (NH-2) route that starts from Delhi to Kolkata. This road has been in existence from a long time. Before the Yamuna Expressway was built, everyone used to follow this route to reach Agra from Delhi. Although anyone can take this route but this route is best suited for people who stay in and around the areas of Ashram, New Friends Colony, Sarita Vihar, Jasola, Mohan Estate, Tughlaqabad, Badarpur, Faridabad etc. Also, people who do not want to get onto Yamuna Expressway at all can take this route. If you follow this route, you just need to move straight from Badarpur Border towards Faridabad till you reach Agra.

Best Road Route from Delhi to Agra

Route 4 :  Delhi – Noida – Greater Noida to Agra Via Yamuna Expressway

Although anyone can take this route but this route is best suited for people who stay in and around the areas of Ghaziabad, Noida & Greater Noida. If you follow this route, you need to first reach Greater Noida from Delhi and then get onto Yamuna Expressway and drive for 165 km to reach Agra City. It is undoubtedly the quickest and best road route from Delhi to Agra.

Important Note : If you are planning to visit Agra in Winters, especially in the months of December and January, you are advised not to take Route 1, Route 2 or Route 4 as while following these routes you need to get onto Yamuna Expressway. Due to heavy fog and low visibility, Yamuna Expressway gets really dangerous to drive in Winters. In past there have been a lot of extremely dangerous accidents on Yamuna Expressway in Winters. So, in winters it is highly advised take the NH-2 route only i.e., Route 3 to reach Agra from Delhi.
