Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope thanks SRK for contributing 25000 PPE kits

Amid the shortage of PPE (personal protective equipment) kits for the healthcare workers, which affects the efforts to battle against the deadly coronavirus, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan donated 25,000 PPE kits on Monday.

SRK’s contribution to the frontline medical staff became known after the Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope thanked the superstar for his help through Twitter.

“Many thanks, Mr Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25,000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team” read Tope’s tweet on Monday.

The actor replied to the tweet and thanked the health minister for his help in sourcing the PPE kits. He further wrote that he is glad to be of service during such times. “We are all together in this endeavour to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service. May your family & team be safe and healthy,” SRK added.

Previously, this month, the actor had announced several initiatives to aid the country in containing the novel coronavirus pandemic. The actor has been approaching the concerned authorities to help boost the battle against the virus at multiple regions across the nation, especially Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi.
