Parasite, a movie by South Korea recently made history during the Oscars held this year. This movie, directed by Bong Joon-Ho recently won the Academy Awards for Best Movie. With this, the picture became the very first non-American creation to have bagged a prize in this particular category.
The competition was stuff. The nomination for this award was bagged by several other prestigious movies which include Ford vs. Ferrari, Joker, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Jojo Rabbit, The Irishman, Marriage Story, and 1917.
However, the prize was bagged by this Movie. The central story of this movie tells an intriguing story. Parasite is a story of an impoverished family from South Korea that scheme an up-market family to employ them. They posed as individuals that were highly qualified in order to secure their employment.
Eventually, class discrimination and greed takes charge of the relationships shared between these individuals. The movie features Kang-ho Song, the superstar of South Korea along with Lee Sun-Kyun, Choi Woo-Shik, Cho Yeo-jeong, Park So-dam, Jang Hye-jin, as well as Lee Jung-eun.
The movie was released at selected theatres in India. So, there is a chance that you might have missed it. However, you can watch it on Amazon Prime Video from 27th March 2020.
