In a film where Salman plays an anti-hero, Race 3, probably will be the year’s biggest release. It is scheduled to hit the screens on June 15, i.e. today, but before that, a special screening was held for the people associated with the film’ and their friends in Mumbai on Thursday.
The movie shows Salman Khan, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Saqib Saleem in lead roles. The film is the third in the Race franchise kitty. The earlier parts were directed by the duo of Abbas-Mustan.
The film is co-produced by Salman Khan Films and Ramesh Taurani. This is the movie which will mark Salman’s debut in film distribution arena.
Even before its release, the film seems an impressive success. It is estimated that the satellite and digital rights of the film have been sold for around Rs 130 crore. Till now this is a huge price for any Indian film. Salman’s earlier film “Tiger Zinda Hai” could only muster Rs 65 crore.
The story line of the Bollywood film is inspired by some align plot which deals in high profile crimes. It looks like ruthless and vindictive to the core. Going turtle at every nook and corner, this is a different world, which hopes to take the audience by quite surprise with its sheer unpredictability.
When Anil Kapoor hands over the command to Salman Khan with a high stakes crime, nothing looks wrong. It seems like a family which is going in the wrong direction. Race 3 seems in a hurry towards a high level of climax with every ingredient– betrayals, guns, fast cars and sleek action which never had been the part on the Indian screen. A lot of action and drama along with twist in the climax that takes your breath away.
But another group of critics say the thriller, is an example of bad writing, worst dialogues, imaginative acting and a useless plot. Race 3, delves into the lives of an affluent family which is trying to seek power and money, is an utter disappointment. They say that Khan’s charisma and star power fails to create the desired sensation.
