‘Shaktimaan’ will return amid lockdown, confirms lead star Mukesh Khanna

After the glorious return of Mahabharata on Doordarshan, the popular cult classic, Shaktiman is set to return to the screen amid the coronavirus lockdown. This news was confirmed by Mukesh Khanna, the lead star of the show and a veteran actor.

Apart from Mahabharata, it was confirmed that another mythological series named Ramayana will make it back to the screen and it surely did. Along with these popular names, Circus-starring Shah Rukh Khan & Byomkesh Bakshi- with Rajit Kapur as the lead shall be back on air over the Doordarshan channel. These series will also be airing over the sister channels owned by Doordarshan during the lockdown period of 21 days.

In his tweet, Khanna mentioned that getting a chance to watch both Mahabharata and Ramayan on the very same day was nostalgic and a happy moment for the 135 crore population in India trying to evade COVID-19 under the lockdown. He also added that things are about to get better for the Shaktimaan fans as the series is soon to air alongside these epic TV series.

However, no time or date for the re-runs of the show has been disclosed by the actor or the team associated with the series.
