Actor Pawan Kalyan donates Rs 2 crore to combat COVID-19 spread

Pawan Kalyan, south superstar, donated a sum of 2 crore Indian rupees for the purpose of combating coronavirus infection in the country. The actor donated 50 lakh rupees each to the Chief Minister relief funds of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Pawan Kalyan has also donated 1 crore rupees to the PM’s relief fund for curbing out COVID-19 pandemic. 

Pawan Kalyan is not the only leading artist from the Telugu film industry to have donated to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister relief funds. Nithiin, the famous Bheeshma actor, also happens to have donated 10 lakh rupees each to the CM relief fund of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. 

In his tweet, Nithiin wrote that he would like to do his part for the safety of the country amidst the coronavirus outbreak. He further states about his 10 lakh rupees donation to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister relief fund and another 10 lakh rupees donation to the Chief Minister relief fund of Telangana. He adds that his donation for this purpose would be for the equipment required to curb this epidemic. 

Veterans from Tollywood like Prakash Raj, Rajnikanth, Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Karthi and other artists have contributed to the “Film Employees’ Federation of South India” for the same purpose.
