The fare of Tejas Express is said to be 20% more than the shatabdi express fares. However, in Tejas Express passengers will also get the option to opt for meals on-board which is currently not possible in case of Shatabdi Express. If a passenger wants to opt for food while he buys the ticket, the fare will include the catering charge as well. The superfast surcharge, reservation fee and catering charges will all be levied separately.
